  1. I agree with everything but the improvement of lean body mass is not true.
    That’s a result of a variety of circumstances not just a fast.

    • +Jeff Lukacsko I understand that it is hard to believe Jeff. But it is
      actually true what he is saying Jeff. All of my clients on TKD IF/CR
      improve lean body mass. Very often they loose 15-20 kg in 2-4 months. In
      the same time their LBM goes up with 3-6 kg. The same happened to this guy,

    • That is only possible if they are eating less calories. Simply shortening
      the eating window does not do this alone. I’m a proponent of fasting in
      this way but I wouldn’t make the claim that LBM would be improved from that
      alone. That comes from measuring caloric intake and other factors such as
      exercise and macro/micro nutrients.

    • +Jeff Lukacsko Yes, CR above means 75% caloric restriction related to
      person’s BMRxPAL energy requirement – my clients make daily macronutrient
      measurements of their meals to match it. They also make amounts of daily
      exercise. But LBM is directly related to body fat percentage – which often
      falls 15-25% in 2-4 months. LBM improvement comes from many aspects but
      state of therapeutic ketosis is the most crucial – that’s what cause the
      adipose fat and associated water to burn. Eating less calories has
      therapeutic pathways CMA being one of the most important – but it is NOT
      the requirement to burn fat and improve LBM when you are in the state of
      ketosis.

    • Are you responding to me or the comment above? When i say ‘circumstances’
      obviously lifting is one of them.

  2. I’m sorry but this is biological nonsense.Our own white blood cells and
    indeed all the cells in our body react exactly the same as cancer cells
    during ‘fasting’.Cancer originates from our own body,so to say that fasting
    can kill cancer cells is ridiculous.where is the proof? the studies?

    • +Ian Brown Our regular cells can slow down and go into a survival mode,
      while cancer cells cannot. Cancer cells have one speed, so when they are
      stressed and deprived they die, while our regular cells can “weather the
      storm”. You should really educate yourself about an issue before coming out
      and calling it “nonsense”.

    • I think none of us are scientists Chris c so you and me both arnt really
      qualified to say things are or arnt correct.I go with the facts and the
      facts are that the evidence( PROVEN EVIDENCE) isnt strong enough for anyone
      to back up such claims and thats a ‘fact’!!!!

    • Brown doesnt know what he’s talking about. Cancer cells act very
      differently than normal cells. No use arguing about it.

  3. This is encouraging, as I’ve been intermittent fasting for close to 3 yrs.
    I started after I was getting so bloated by evening even tho I wasn’t
    eating after supper, had a healthy diet etc. but obviously my liver and
    gallbladder were compromised, so I tried IF (I was extremely skeptical and
    resistant at first). It took 3 months for my stomach to go down flat –
    there’s no going back. I have lots of energy in the morning – I’m so used
    to this plan and love it! By the way even though I’ve gone through some
    severely stressful situations I’m able to continue doing IF.

  4. I so agree and have lived like this for many years and don’t foresee
    quitting this lifestyle ever.
    Except, that I don’t like to eat so late so I stop eating at 4pm…..6 or 7
    is way too late and close to bed time for me. Figure out what’s best for
    you but I always recommend clients to stop eating a few hours before going
    to bed and the earlier the better.

  5. can i ask quickly as i have few people asking me questions about this. for
    absaloutely any desease/illness this is safe to do?

    also would it be ok for absaloutely anyone to do the 16 hour cleanse window
    every single day say 6 day a week 1 day off?

    for men and women with desease illnesses its still safe to go straight to
    16 hour???
