Dreamy, Delicious Raw Coco Date “Latte” Recipe

Lots of people ask how they can increase their caloric intake because they have a hard time eating so much food in the beginning. This incredible meal is calorically dense, not too big and tastes amazing. It reminds me of a really sweet cafe latte or a Starbucks frappuccino.

Raw Coco "Latte"
8 oz. of your favorite fresh dates (pitted)
16 oz. of fresh coconut water from a young thai coconut
a pinch of vanilla (powder, extract or fresh vanilla bean)

*Increase the ingredients accordingly based on your personal needs*

Blend all ingredients until smooth and enjoy!

  1. I haven’t had any dental issues on this diet. My dental hygiene actually improved when I switched to raw. I do have an older video on dental care but perhaps it’s time for a new one. I’ll put that on the list. :0)

  2. I agree with 2009cmarie, 40belowfruity is a great channel for those living in cold climates. I would make good use of the Vitamix and make some warm soups & drinks without cooking them. A dehydrator can be nice too, for gently warming up a meal. Sending warm hugs your way!

  3. Yes, it’s still a delicious drink without the coconut water. The coconut water just adds a little extra something that makes it really tasty. Dates, pure water & a little vanilla is very yummy!

  6. Just made this, WOW!! This is SO good!! I actually felt like an ice blended latte, so that’s what I did!! Just blend your recipe with ice!! So yummy, thank you for this great recipe! It still tastes great even without the vanilla XO

  7. I haven’t had a bottled coconut water that was as good as fresh coconut water. Most of them taste a bit off to me. Harmless Harvest Raw Coconut Water is the best in terms of taste but pretty pricey. You could try it but I would also try making it with just filtered water and see if you like that. It’s very good but even better with good coconut water. :0)

  10. Why is this so important to eat/ drink so many calories? .. If i go raw veagen and have around 1000 cals, would it help losing weight or just keep you in a healthy weight?

  11. It’s important to get enough calories for a number of reasons. One, to make sure you have enough fuel in your body to function properly. Without it, you’ll be ready for a nap before the afternoon rolls around. 2. You want to eat enough so that you don’t get hungry between meals. And, 3, it’s important to eat enough calorically so you get all the vitamins and nutrients you need from your food. If you’re only eating 1,000 cals a day, yes you’ll lose weight but you’ll also be really out of it.
